Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) to be the music festival?

It's a long story its not as if I was standing ontop of speakers short amps to my ears (I prefer the middle of the crowd), but my ears were ringing for a good 2 hours + after the concerts. I think I did some damage in a time, but is in any way other than to reduce this wear earplugs?

There are medications that help, but not much of a cure. My brother has had for half his life, working with heavy machinery and sleeps with a fan near your bed to avoid hearing the buzz.
